Revenue to Lockton (US & London combined)
- $250m Flood, $50m Earthquake and $250m NWS limits.
- Lockton working on behalf of the Owner (Edgecore) and competing against the General Contractors's Broker MBR in place through another broker. Lockton London were able to secure an OCIP more competitive than the option, leveraging their relationships with carriers to ensure the best deal for Edgecore.
- The GC pushed hard for their program, but flexibility in accommodating insured’s requests poised us to win this deal.
- 70% order placed into London, 30% order bound domestically in the US.
- This project win demonstrated that the London market remain extremely competitive on data center business. There is a willingness to write it given its favorable loss history as a construction sub-sector and notably room for negotiation where needed to ensure the best terms available on the global market for Lockton clients.
Kushner Colts Neck - Construction Project
New construction of 3-story wood frame apartment buildings with 360 units over 15-buildings.
Total Insured Values
- Full NAT CAT Limits achieved in New Jersey.
- Post renewal of the Lockton Builders Risk Facility in November, London secured a competitive annual wood frame rate 0.4% annual. The previous wood frame facility maximum limit was $60m. Given this deal, and a number of other opportunities on our desks, and the increased availability of wood frame capacity in Lloyd’s, London and Europe, London discussed with Aviva the possibility of raising the maximum facility limit to $70m.
- As such, we were able to place this project fully into the facility and set a precedent for similar sized opportunities arising in the future, which we do encourage you to share with the London Builder’s Risk team (Will Langran, Luis Danton & Holly Bishop) to ensure you have multiple options for your client base.
